Home for me has been in a few different corners of our globe;
Africa, India, United Kingdom, and now Canada.
I’ve been privileged to have met many different and colourful people along the way, where I have experienced such cultural varieties in lifestyles, customs and traditional ways.
I have a treasure chest of adventures and precious memories that are part and parcel of me and my tale.
It’s been a fun experience in creating my own tastes and styles in cooking, fashion, music, art and other interests thanks to the glimpses and tastes of different cultural ways and lifestyles.
I believe that through exposure to cultural diversities, I have learnt how to think outside the box and to find innovative solutions to daily roadblocks. I like to call this trait “the ability to change gears” allowing me to move forward.
My blood line is of explorers and roamers, and I have that calling too. Packing a bag and taking off to the unknown is just that, an adventure of the unknown. Whats around that corner? Whats over that hill? Whats down that path? I’m a rolling stone that gathers no moss and I love living on the edge a little.
Through many of these journeys I have traveled with my family. I am mum to 3 amazing innovative, creative, and beautiful individuals who have had a chance to develop into their own uniqueness, Their canvas has been influenced and enhanced by parents of different cultures, Newfoundland, Canada and Uganda, East Africa, creating Newfie-Gandan children.
Now the time approaches where my beautiful curious and intrigued 12 year old granddaughter is itching to explore. So together we will journey on cultural adventures allowing her a chance to see, feel, taste, hear and smell different ways that make up the cultures of our globe. In return allowing her a chance to develop and flourish into her unique and chosen eclectic collection of self.
